Leaders in teleradiology

I-TeleRAD was established in 2004 and currently delivers approximately 600,000 radiology reports per annum, for over 170 hospitals. As one of the largest and most experienced providers of teleradiology in Australia, we offer an unparalleled level of reliability and the broadest range of sub-specialty reporting.

A partner you can depend on

The availability of timely and accurate radiology diagnosis 24 hours a day is an ongoing challenge for many hospitals and service providers. I-TeleRAD solves this challenge with a round-the-clock, highly-qualified team of radiologists who can ensure your emergency or overflow reporting is taken care of without delay.

Consistent high quality

At I-TeleRAD we maintain an unparalleled focus on quality. All reporting is undertaken by RANZCR-accredited radiologists selected for their relevant experience in high-acuity hospital radiology.

When a new radiologist joins our team, all their reports are double read until they are completely familiar with I-TeleRAD standards.

Quality and continuous improvement is underpinned by peer review and regular clinical audits. I-TeleRAD audits are conducted in real time, therefore allowing timely distribution of amended reports. I-TeleRAD audits 4% of all cross sectional imaging, and regularly provides audit results to each hospital location.

I-TeleRAD’s significant error rate is less than 0.4%, well below the industry benchmark of 3-5%.

Clinical governance

As part of I-MED Radiology, we share in I-MED’s extensive clinical protocols, and our sophisticated clinical governance is overseen by our Clinical Director and Clinical Management Committee (CMC). The CMC is comprised of senior radiologists who have significant experience in providing teleradiology services. They provide oversight of the clinical standards in the business, including reporting standards, protocols, peer review and education.

Technological innovation

At I-TeleRAD we recognise the unique challenges of remote radiology reporting, and continually invest in education, systems and technology to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Our latest workflow software solution has significantly improved reporting efficiency, providing seamless and speedy integration with referring hospital RIS and PACS systems. Our systems ensure that radiologists are provided with all the relevant clinical information, including automated prior imaging, without referring hospitals having to use lengthy manual procedures.

We are also investing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for patient triage, because we recognise that patient outcomes are improved when critical results are delivered in the quickest possible time.
