Dr Humza Carim

Dr Carim has been with I-MED Radiology since late 2012. He is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.

He initially worked as a consultant and lecturer at one of the largest academic hospitals in Johannesburg where he gained experience in academic medicine, trauma radiology and the radiological manifestations of infectious disease, with a keen interest in teaching registrars and medical students.

Upon moving to Australia, Dr Carim obrtained his FRANZCR and then worked as a consultant radiologist in rural Tasmania with an appointment as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of the Tasmanian (UTAS) and was once again involved in teaching and examining medical students.

He currently works with I-MED Radiology at the St Andrews Private Hospital in Ipswich as a general Radiologist with a special interest in body MRI, Prostate and Breast imaging. Dr Carim also assists I-TeleRAD with emergency and overflow radiology reporting.
